We develop our gross motor skills (big muscles), teamwork and sportsmanship.

We develop our listening skills during story time.

Music

In music continue to work on our Listening to Learn Through Music program to improve our listening skills. We learn songs about seasons, holidays, school and special people. We learn how to play the xylophone. We learn to play different types of rhythm instruments and learn how they fit into different pieces of music. We work on charts and flash cards to teach us music signs and symbols that get us ready for the 2nd grade music books. We move to music to help our coordination and listening skills.

Technology

We learn how to type, word process, and use multimedia programs.
We will be working on typing using our left and right hands and typing special keys. We should be able to type a capital letter and one space between words. Please practice keyboarding at home.

First Trimester - we work on multimedia skills - creating a Counting to 20 PowerPoint Slide show.
Second Trimester - we work on word processing and keyboard skills - typing sentences and inserting pictures.
